Wiara – Prawda – Tolerancja
Abstract
Czy tolerancja i wiara w prawdę objawioną to przeciwieństwa? Albo inaczej: Czy wiara chrześcijańska i nowoczesność są do pogodzenia? Jeśli jednym z fundamentalnych składników współczesności jest tolerancja, to czy stwierdzenia, iż poznało się prawdę w jej najgłębszej istocie, nie należy uznać za rodzaj przestarzałej arogancji, którą trzeba odrzucić, jeśli chce się przerwać spiralę przemocy, ciągnącą się przez całą historię religii? Pytania te narzucają się dziś w sposób coraz bardziej dramatyczny wszędzie tam, gdzie chrześcijaństwo spotyka się ze światem współczesnym i coraz bardziej szerzy się przekonanie, że rezygnacja chrześcijaństwa z uznawania się za religię posiadającą pełnię prawdy jest podstawowym warunkiem dla osiągnięcia pokoju na świecie i do pogodzenia chrześcijaństwa z nowoczesnością.
